Spears Blames Paparazzi For Meltdown Nov 21 2008
BRITNEY SPEARS blames the paparazzi for her infamous meltdown - insisting their constant pursuit for snaps led her into a downward spiral.

The star was hospitalised twice earlier this year (08) and lost custody of her sons Sean Preston, three, and two-year-old Jayden James after a series of public meltdowns, including a headline-grabbing incident when she shaved off all her hair.

The pop superstar has since got her life back on track, winning three gongs at the MTV VMAS in September (08) and enjoying huge success when her comeback single Womanizer made the biggest chart jump to number one in Billboard Hot 100 history.

Speaking in her new tell-all MTV documentary, Britney: For The Record, Spears analyses what led to her epic fall from grace, and decides the hordes of paparazzi that constantly follow her played a huge part in her breakdown.

She explains, "I used to be a cool chick. But I feel like the paparazzi has taken that away from me - like, the way I used to live my life. I used to be a cool chick but I'm not anymore."

And the star admits she didn't do herself any favours - because she surrounded herself with people who didn't have her best interests at heart.

She adds, "I had let people into my life that were just bad people. You're so busy you don't see what's going on. You don't have time to stop and think. ...It's important to have good people around you."

Britney's Manager Says She's Ready for a Comeback Nov 21 2008
Although Britney Spears admits in a new film that she "totally lost my way, lost focus, lost myself," that won't stand in the way of her comeback, says her manager.

"She's definitely ready," Larry Rudolph tells PEOPLE, following a sneak peek of Spears's riveting MTV documentary, Britney: For the Record, airing Nov. 30, in Santa Monica, Calif.

"She loves to work," he says. "She's a very strong person. Everybody goes through setbacks in their lives. [But] every day, I see her getting happier and stronger."

One of her biggest victories this year? Regaining visitation with Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

So while her musical comeback is important, Spears has made it clear that motherhood comes first, says Rudolph.

"Her kids and balancing her life with her kids is an incredible priority – the No. 1 priority in terms of how I operate with her," he says.

Spears's boys can be seen in the film, which follows the pop star over three months as she records her upcoming album Circus, wins big at September's MTV Video Music Awards, and speaks frankly about her problems – including her failed relationships with Federline and Justin Timberlake.

The idea for the candid documentary sprung up during a conversation Spears and Rudolph had over dinner several months ago.

"It evolved and became a question of, What will she do? What will she say? How will she say it?" he says. "How will people view her after what she's been through and after all that they've seen in the tabloids over the past year or two?"

Adds Rudolph: "This became sort of a great way for her to say what she needs to say on her terms."

Britney Spears' Doc Shows 'Where She Is and Where She Is Going' Nov 21 2008
Britney Spears' longtime manager Larry Rudolph has been by his client's side as she stages her comeback with the release of Circus and her documentary, "On the Record" (premiering on MTV November 30).

"I was very involved in putting [the film] together, so I saw the process," Rudolph told MTV News on Thursday night at a media preview of the film in Los Angeles. "It was a very interesting process. We made a deal from the very beginning — everybody sort of shook hands with the understanding that there were going to be no boundaries on this thing. We were going to make an open and honest film and that we weren't going to leave the good stuff on the cutting room floor.

"We went there with it," he added. "You see Britney in a light you're not used to seeing her in. She's intelligent, she's introspective, she's honest. By the end of the film you really understand who she is in a way that you just never imagined. ... It is so not a puff piece."

Rudolph, who is credited with shaping Britney's early career, wouldn't speak about how he and Spears reunited after a falling-out in 2007. At the time, many speculated that she fired him for encouraging her to enter rehab.

Focusing the conversation on the doc, Rudolph insisted that it show everyone what he already knows about the singer: "She's got a unique set of talents. She's got a blend of certain talents. She's a great singer. She's a great dancer. She's got an amazing image. She's incredibly likable," he listed. "She's got this intangible thing that makes her a star."

"For the Record" is part of the game plan for reintroducing Britney, the pop star rather than the tabloid magnet, back to her fans, Rudolph said. The movie makes a case for Spears' future, by giving the audience "a good taste of the music and where she is and where she is going."

The next step in Brit's comeback is a video for the album's second single, "Circus," shot by "I'm a Slave 4 U" director Francis Lawrence, set to debut around the release of the album on December 2. "It is amazing," Rudolph said. "The video is extraordinary. It is really, really good."

Although Blackout came out only a year ago, Rudolph said that this was an organically right time for her to put out new music again. "It wasn't that there was a rush," he explained. "The album got completed on its natural timetable. And it just was the right time to put it out. So we decided to put it out on her birthday and make it a birthday present to her and to the world."

Britney: I Totally Lost My Way Nov 20 2008
You can call Britney Spears a lot of things — pop star, mom, tabloid queen — but don't call her a victim.

"I don’t like that... 'the victim'," Brit explains in the upcoming documentary For the Record. "I've been placed in that category for some reason."

The 26-year-old singer also isn't a big fan of the comeback kid label that's been slapped on her since she began her miraculous turnaround this past summer.

"I’ve been here the whole time, you know," she says. "I’ve taken some time off for myself and I’ve been recording for a while, I haven’t been completely in the spotlight but I’ve been doing what I’ve always done."

As for those dark days of late 2007 and early 2008, which saw Britney first under the influence of "manager" Sam Lutfi and then photographer boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, she's surprisingly candid about her mindset at the time.

Recalls Britney: ”I totally lost my way. I lost focus... I lost myself. I had that type of nature within me that wanted to bail out. I’ve never wanted to become one of those prisoner people. I always wanted to feel free… I think that was always a part of me that kind of got me in trouble.”

And while she doesn't mention Sam or Adnan by name, she does admit, "There were certain people in my life that were just bad people... I was lonely and I really paid the consequences for that."

A surprisingly thoughtful Britney adds, "I feel like when you do something wrong, you learn from it and you move on... But it’s like I'm having to pay for it for a really long time."

Be sure to check out For the Record when it airs on MTV, Nov. 30 at 10pm ET.

First Look: MTV's 'Britney: For the Record' Nov 20 2008
I just attended an exclusive screening of the first 33 minutes of the hotly anticipated upcoming MTV documentary, Britney: For the Record, premiering on Nov. 30 at 10 p.m. Shot over three months following her performance at this year's VMAs, the 90-minute film offers a candid look inside Britney Spears' personal and professional life. Among other highlights, you'll see the remarkably isolated entertainer at home eating cheese grits (cooked by her dad) on the morning of the VMAs; getting stalked by paparazzi; shooting the video for "Womanizer;" meeting with her management team and record label about her new CD, Circus (out Dec. 2); dissing Katie Holmes' style while shopping in New York; talking about how she envies Jessica Alba for being able to go grocery shopping with her baby without getting mobbed by photographers; and insisting that she's not a victim of her success while admitting that she often feels like a prisoner. Here are a few juicy soundbites.

On Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline (whom she refers to as "my babies' daddy"):
"With Justin, he was a part of the magnitude of what I had become. So when he was gone I was like, What am I supposed to do with myself? I was devastated [by the breakup] but I handled it a lot better than the [split] with Kevin....He started to do an album for himself and he started to do things for himself, and I just never saw him anymore....When it ended I felt so alone. I didn't really wanna think about the reality of it. I never faced it....I just ran."

On recovering from her 2007 meltdown:
"My trust has really been battered....Sometimes it can get kinda lonely....I had totally lost my way. I lost focus. I lost myself. I let certain people into my life that were just bad people...because I was lonely....I really paid the consequences for that. Big time....What the hell was I thinking?"

On fame:
"At first, it's amazing, the first year or two, because it's like, I'm a celebrity!....It didn't really touch me until I had been working for six years....I wanted to just stop. I wanted to create a new life."

On the current state of her life:
"Do I know my life is weird? It's all I've ever known. I don't see it as being weird....I'm kind of stuck in this place and I'm like, How do you deal? I just cope with it every day....It's better not to feel anything at all and have hope than to feel the other way....It's bad. I'm sad." She breaks down into tears. Later, she complains that her life is too in control these days: "It's like Groundhog Day every day. It's really boring....Normal is really different for everybody....In my situation, I try to make it as normal as possible for me....It could be a lot worse. There are people out there who have it a lot worse than I do....I used to be a cool chick but I feel like the paparazzi has taken that away from me, like, the way I used to live my life. I used to be a cool chick but I'm not anymore."

Next Stop for Britney: The American Music Awards? Nov 20 2008
Will Britney Spears be the big surprise at Sunday's American Music Awards?

It would certainly make sense. She does, after all, have her soon-to-be-released new album, Circus, to promote.

But don't ask show host Jimmy Kimmel about it. If he knows anything, he's not saying. "They have these surprises that 75 people on the crew know about, but they won't tell the host," Kimmel insists. "Apparently, there is some big surprise. I sent...the producer an email yesterday and he was like, I can't tell you."

The pop princess last appeared on the AMAs two years ago, around the time she had filed for divorce from Kevin Federline.

But things didn't go so smoothly...

Spears presented an award immediately following a skit in which Kimmel throws Federline (well, a lookalike K-Fed) into a box and dumps him in the ocean. "She didn't think that was funny," Kimmel remembers.

Spears or no Spears (her music label rep says she has no plans to be there), Kimmel says everyone is a target for his jokes—even the young ones. "I feel like a babysitter with all these kids," Kimmel says. "It's like being a counselor at summer camp. Aren't the Jonas Brothers like 10, 11 and 12? Miley Cyrus is only 16—but then again she sounds like she's 38."

And being the self-deprecating comic that he is, Kimmel promises not to attempt another dance performance like he did oh-so-horribly last year. "I really try tried to learn that stupid 'Soulja Boy' dance," Kimmel says. "I really had it down, but as soon as I got on stage I could not follow it at all."

The AMAs broadcast live Sunday night from Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre. Among the scheduled performers are Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis,Taylor Swift and Kanye West.

Let's hope Spears is added to the lineup. Don't ya think it's time for a live "Womanizer" performance?

Britney Spears: I Lost My Way, Focus, Myself Nov 20 2008
While advance quotes and video clips from the upcoming MTV documentary Britney: For the Record have been slowly leaking out, on Thursday PEOPLE had an official sneak preview of the revealing chronicle of three months in the life of Britney Spears. Among what's in store: The riveting, 90-minute documentary kicks off at Spears's home on the morning of the MTV Video Music Awards, with her tank-top-clad dad, Jamie, in the kitchen making his daughter cheese grits (with Velveeta) as she preps for the show. In the kitchen, her manager, Larry Rudolph, proclaims it "the official beginning of the comeback."

Though Spears says she doesn't like the word "comeback," she admits, "I had totally lost my way, lost focus, lost myself."

Loneliness Led to Wrong Choices
Early in the film – which premieres on MTV Sunday, Nov. 30, two days prior to the release of her new CD, Circus – the pop star, 26, explains why she agreed to let a camera crew follow her: "I wasn't being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. ... There's a lot that people don't know about me."

Spears takes topics ranging from her failed romances with Justin Timberlake and Kevin Federline ("I never really faced it, and I just ran," she says of divorcing him) to why she let "bad people" into her life. Her excuse: "Because I was lonely."

At one point, Spears – whose father has permanent legal conservatorship over her affairs – bursts into tears while discussing her situation. "It's bad," she says. "I'm sad."

Misses the 'Excitement'
Later, she complains that her life is "too in-control. There's no excitement. There's no passion."

The cameras follow Spears to New York City, where she meets with execs from her record label, goes shopping (she picks out a blouse and calls it "very Katie Holmes") and sees the Broadway musical In the Heights – all the while being hounded by photographers who she says cramp her style.

"I was a pretty cool chick," she says, "and I'm really not that way anymore."

Still, she tries to keep things in perspective. "I think, it could be a lot worse. … People have it a lot worse than I do."

Britney Didn't Write a Song for Paparazzo Lover Nov 20 2008
Britney Spears' songwriting partner has denied the pop superstar wrote an ode to her paparazzo ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib for her forthcoming album Circus.

According to Us Weekly magazine, lyricist Nicole Morier revealed the inspiration for the album track Mmm Papi came from Spears' tumultuous romance with the British photographer.

Morier reportedly told the magazine, "It's about someone I'm sure you can guess," with a source adding, "It's a gift to him (Ghalib). She is crazy for him."

But Morier claims she never hinted to the reporter that the song was based on Spears' relationship with the snapper - insisting he wasn't part of the singer's life when she penning her new material.

She tells Perezhilton.com, "I never said that to Us Weekly! The song is definitely not about Adnan and in the whole time I worked with her last spring and summer I never once saw that guy.

"We strictly wrote the song for fun. The Mmm Papi part came out of Mmm Papa Luv U and I came up with it because the track was a fun up beat track and we wanted to do something crazy like mmmpapamowow.

And the songwriter admits she wants to halt any further speculation surrounding the star - because Spears seems to have finally got her life and career back on track.

Spears sings, "You love it when I'm freaking out/Things get rough and there's no doubt/You will always be there for me."

Britney Spears' Mystery Man Nov 19 2008
Britney Spears has been spotted leaving a posh L.A. restaurant with a dark haired companion - raising questions about whether the 26-year old is dating again.

Despite this the toxic singer looked less than tasteful dressed in a brown turtle neck top and jeans while her partner opted for a smart tailored shirt.

With Britney hard at work on her comeback it may appear that she is en route to a full recovery, although revelations in new MTV documentary, Britney: For the Record, shed a slightly different light on it all…

Spears claims: 'There’s no excitement, there’s no passion’.

She has compared her life to that of a jail sentence, stating: 'I have really good days, and then I have bad days. Even when you go to jail, y'know, there’s the time when you’re gonna get out.

‘But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like Groundhog Day every day.'

Is Britney’s comeback the best thing for her right now? Should she be dating again?

Spears, who's got a new album to promote, will appear on NBC's annual tree-lighting telecast Wednesday, Dec. 3, insiders say.

Britney Takes Her Boys for a Little Gator Aid Nov 11 2008
Finally, an adventure that the whole Spears clan could get behind.

A day after 2-year-old Jayden James was released from the hospital after suffering an allergic reaction, Britney took her brood to a wild alligator farm in Hammond, La., a short hop from the Spears' Kentwood abode.

The group, which included Britney, Jayden, 3-year-old Sean Preston, Jamie Lynn Spears and her daughter, Maddie, and matriarch Lynne Spears, appeared to be in good spirits, an eyewitness told E! News.

Jayden sidled right up to the chain-link fence surrounding the nests to get a closer look at the creatures populating Kliebert's Turtle and Alligator Tours, while big brother Sean preferred the safety of grandma Lynne's arms.

According to Kliebert's website, the farm, which has been raising alligators for nearly five decades, features thousands of alligators, as well as turtles and a bird sanctuary.

Britney Spears' Son Jayden Leaves Hospital Nov 10 2008
Britney Spears' 2-year-old son Jayden James has been released from the hospital.

He was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday after "he had a reaction to something he ingested," a rep for the Spears family said Monday.

The singer took Jayden and Sean Preston, 3, to Kentwood, Louisiana, Friday morning.

It marks the first out-of-state trip for the trio since Spears lost all custody rights to ex Kevin Federline earlier this year.

Britney's Son Jayden Hospitalized for "Bad Reaction" Nov 10 2008
UPDATE: A rep for the Spears family has released the following statement:

"Jayden James Federline was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 9th. Doctors concluded he had a reaction to something he ingested. He is expected to be discharged tomorrow."

————————

Britney Spears made an unexpected trip to the hospital over the weekend, but this time it wasn't the pop star's health that was the issue.

Instead, E! News has learned that Spears' youngest son, Jayden, was rushed to the emergency room by the pop star sometime between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

"She looked very stressed," an eyewitness told E! News.

A short time later, Spears' sister, Jamie Lynn, arrived at the hospital after being driven by a friend.

Spears herself drove the 2-year-old to the hospital instead of waiting for an ambulance. While there's no official word on the reason for Jayden's admittance, the tyke spent Sunday night at the facility under observation.

Britney was spotted leaving Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center—the same hospital, coincidentally, where Jamie Lynn gave birth this year—earlier this morning, but it was not clear whether Jayden had been discharged.

Britney's brother, Bryan, and her other son, Sean Preston, accompanied by a nanny, were also seen exiting the medical center today. Last night, the elder Spears was spotted bringing fast food into the hospital.

Britney, Jayden and Sean were expecting to spend a leisurely weekend with family in the pop star's hometown of Kentwood, La., the first time since her January meltdown that 26-year-old singer was allowed to take the boys out of California. The family only arrived on Friday.

A source close to the family told E! News that Kevin Federline has been made aware of his son's hospitalization and will fly out to the Mississippi facility should the boy not be discharged today.

The new page launched Monday and features pictures from Spears' wins at this year's Video Music Awards and a video of the director's cut her Circus single "Womanizer."

Britney's Son Hospitalized, 'Doing Fine' Nov 10 2008
Britney Spears's trip home with her sons this weekend took an unexpected serious turn when her 2-year-old Jayden was rushed to a Kentwood-area hospital at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. But the toddler is "fine," according to a source close to the family.

"He's doing fine," the source tells PEOPLE. "They kept him overnight."

Jayden was taken to the hospital after suffering "a terrible allergic reaction. He had hives, was itchy and irritable," according to the source, who says that Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne, spent the night at the hospital with Jayden.

As for what caused the reaction, "They're just not sure," said the source.

Just prior to the incident, Britney, Jamie Lynn, Bryan, Lynne and Jamie Spears were enjoying a fun afternoon at the family's Serenity mansion, the boys' first trip out of California with their mother since she lost custody.

A rep for the family had no comment, and rep for Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline also had no comment.

The World's First 'Circus' Review Nov 8 2008
The Sun newspaper in the U.K. have posted the world's first review of Circus! I must say I'm a tad bit jealous that Mr. Gordon Smart got to hear it before me. Here's what Mr. Smart says about four of Brit's album tracks:

If U Seek Amy: "It's a great track. A stomping robo pop number with clattering kettle drums and Brit being quite frank about the opinion she holds of herself."

Kill The Lights: '"Kill The Lights" focuses on the star's relationship with the paparazzi, the lights referring to flash bulbs. It's a brilliant disco banger with an elastic bass line and plenty of spooky keyboard work. During Kill The Lights Brit addresses her camera-toting tormentors with the brilliant line: "Is that money in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?"

Circus: "The collection's title track sees Brit morphing ever closer to MADONNA. Circus has more than a passing resemblance to the industrial hip-hop-powered tracks on Hard Candy.

Out From Under: "It's a stirring break-up ballad up there with the best."

Smart by name, smart by nature, Gordon!! Thanks for the rave review! I can't wait to hear it myself!

Britney Spears Brings her Boys to Louisiana Nov 8 2008
Britney Spears arrived Friday in Louisiana with her sons for a family visit to her hometown in Kentwood.

It was the first time the 26-year-old singer was allowed to take Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, out of California since losing all custody rights earlier this year to ex-husband Kevin Federline.

"This is a terrific indication of the progress she's made, and the growing trust between the two parents," says a source close to Spears. "It was arranged cooperatively between Kevin and the lawyers."

Spears made the trip the day after her mini reunion with former boyfriend Justin Timberlake at a Madonna concert in L.A. Spears traveled with her father, Jamie, who has legal control of her affairs.

Since reaching a custody settlement in July, Spears currently has two visits and an overnight per week with her children.

Adds the source: "Britney just wanted to get some family time in and show the boys Louisiana, now that they're getting older."

Britney Declines 'Virgin Mary' Role in Upcoming Film Nov 7 2008
Late last year, French film Producer Philippe Rebboah (whose most recent credit is as an associate producer on Amy Redford’s indie film "The Guitar") made headlines by announcing his intention to cast the then chaotic Britney Spears in his upcoming satire "Sweet Baby Jesus."

Production is set to start rolling in Bethlehem, Md., in January — but what happened to the pop princess?

"Britney read the script and she really liked it and really wanted to play the role of Mary," Rebboah told Tarts. "She isn't as scandalous in Europe as she is in the States, and I knew she would do a good job, but [people] were so against it and she was pressured. Then she ran into all the trouble with her family so we mutually decided the timing wasn’t right."

The 1970s film centers around a pregnant 19-year-old who is unsure of her baby's paternity and goes into labor on Christmas Eve in Bethlehem, Md., amid speculation that the birth is Jesus Christ's second coming. Drew Barrymore’s ex-husband Tom Green has just signed on to play Mary's boyfriend "Joe" and will star alongside comedic actress Lily Tomlin and Pierce Brosnan’s son, Sean Brosnan.

But replacing Spears put serious delays on production and the decision-makers have now decided to go with a "real" actress as opposed to a pop personality, 22-year-old rising starlet Alison Pill, who is set to make waves when "Milk" is released this month.

But wait! There is still a chance Miss Spears will still be part of the immaculate film conception.

"Britney was so touched by the script, so we are in talks about having her write and perform the closing number," Rebboah added. "Music of the '70s is a real focus in the film. We don’t want her to do anything religious, but something that captures the beauty of the story."

Britney and Justin Duet With Madonna - Separately

Speaking of beauty and music, "Mousekeeters" and former flames Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake both made last-minute surprise appearances on stage with Madonna during her "Sticky & Sweet" concert in Los Angeles on Thursday night. Sadly Brit and JT didn't make music together — but the crowd was far from disappointed.

Addressing the crowd only with the now famous words "It's Britney, Bitch," Spears sent Dodger Stadium into a frenzy when she performed Madge's old-school hit "Oops, I Didn't Know I Wasn't Suppose to Talk About Sex" while donning sexy black pants and a white tuxedo.

Thankfully, Brit has learned from the wardrobe mistake she made the last time she performed live (2007 MTV VMAs) and on this occasion, she skipped out on showing off too many dance moves.

Justin Timberlake later took to the stage for a live rendition of "Four Minutes" with Madonna, causing an electrifying uproar not only from the ground floor but the green room as well.

Pop Tarts spies spotted a slew of stars such as Lindsay Lohan (without girlfriend Samantha Ronson), Lucy Liu, Elizabeth Banks, Heidi Klum, Donald Sutherland, Ryan Seacrest and Mila Kunis livin' it up in the green room after the show and gushing among each other how hot Madonna was and how Britney and JT too nailed it.

While the Queen of Pop's latest album, "Hard Candy," didn't live up to her high-selling reputation, ticket sales for her show have been selling strong all year and today's announcement of two very special cameos guaranteed a sold-out stadium with a record number of desperados lurking around outside.

Oh and while Britney was busy doing her thing in L.A., the reformed rehabber won two MTV Europe Music Awards — one for Album of the Year and the other for Act of 2008. You go, girl!

Britney-Justin Performance is No Surprise Nov 6 2008
Ryan Seacrest broke the news on his Nov. 5 radio broadcast that Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake would take the stage together with Madonna at her Nov. 6 concert at L.A.’s Dodger Stadium. While the news might have come to a shock to many fans, some close friends of Spears weren’t surprised.

“Justin has denied all along that he was in touch with Britney, but that was him being a gentleman,” says one source who has known Spears for years. “He was in touch with her and supportive all through rehab — there’s no bad blood and he’s been open to helping her when she was ready and responsible all along.”

Another Spears friend says, “Britney’s serious about her comeback now — the people who supported her when she was at the top of her game have always been willing to come back when she was serious and ready.”

As for Madonna’s influence, a Kabbalah source is more cynical. “It’s hard for this to not look like a press stunt. There’s been a lot of worry about how Madonna is presenting Kabbalah to the world while she’s divorcing Guy and denying a real relationship with A-Rod. Britney’s never cut ties totally with Kabbalah,” says the source. “I’m sure there’s a link here. If she’s a comeback story and Kabbalah can take credit, then everyone wins.”

Christina on Britney Nov 6 2008
'When we both started releasing records, it was a funny time for me,' says Christina, whose debut single, Genie In A Bottle topped the charts in 1999, the year after Britney had her first hit, Baby One More Time.

'It must have seemed as if we were competing with each other, but, in reality, Britney is someone that I used to hold hands with. We were silly little girls together on the Mickey Mouse Club. What a journey it has been for both of us!'

Lance Bass on Britney Nov 6 2008
And it wouldn't be like the good old days if former tourmate Britney Spears weren't about to put out fresh music. Bass is all about her return. "I am totally stoked to see Britney come back," he said. "I think it's going to be one of the biggest comebacks you've ever seen. It's not even a comeback — she's always been around — but I think, personally, she's ready to explode again."

Bass thinks this is a good time for Spears to return to the spotlight because, he says, it's as good a time as ever to be a pop artist. "Everyone wants to have fun with music again, and she always makes it fun," he said. "I think the last two years was a just a scam, so that she can make a huge comeback. I want to believe it was a big old punk on us."

Brit's Dad Still the Boss Nov 5 2008
With the Dec. 2 release of her new album, Circus, a live performance on Good Morning America and an album party in NYC that night, birthday girl Britney Spears will be celebrating more than just turning 27.

She’ll also be riding high from the Nov. 30 airing of MTV’s 90-minute documentary For the Record, featuring extensive interviews and revealing footage from her own production company.

But while Britney’s career is on the rise, the “Womanizer” singer’s personal life remains stalled: On Oct. 28, her dad Jamie Spears’ status as her legal conservator was continued for the foreseeable future.

“Legally, Britney is basically a child,” a source close to the case tells OK!. “She can’t make any financial or legal decisions for herself, and she can’t regain custody of her sons, Preston and Jayden.”

However, with the safety net the conservatorship provides, Britney is expected to get longer visitations with her children starting this month.

"Britney desperately wants to have control over her own life, but if she wants to keep her finances in order and spend the maximum time with her kids, she needs to leave well-enough alone,” the source says. “But the conservator will likely end in 2009.”

Alex also wrote that the show will be streamed online after it airs, so hopefully this information holds true so those of you who won't be in the States to see the debut can catch it online shortly thereafter!

Britney, Justin to Join Madonna on Stage Nov 5 2008
Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears are expected to join Madonna on stage in Los Angeles Thursday night, according to Ryan Seacrest.

The KIIS FM DJ called his fellow jock, Boy Toy Jesse, to share the news he couldn’t keep until his Thursday morning radio show.

“I just got word that Justin and Britney are going to be on stage with Madonna tomorrow at Dodger stadium,” Seacrest revealed.

And he said the former couple won’t just pop up to increase the celebrity factor.

“They’re going to be on stage, performing at some point with Madonna tomorrow,” Seacrest said.

Both Timberlake and Spears have recorded music with Madonna over the years.

Timberlake is featured on “4 Minutes,” the lead single from Madonna’s latest album, “Hard Candy.” He previously performed the track with Madonna at Roseland Ballroom in New York City in April, to help kick off the launch of her album.

As for Spears, she and Madonna collaborated on “Me Against The Music,” which was featured on Spears’ 2003 album, “In The Zone.”

Gimme More! Bad Britney on Best Behavior Nov 5 2008
At this time last year, Britney Spears had just lost custody of her kids and spent Halloween night crazily running around Los Angeles in a pink leotard with her not-so-nice posse, so we’re proud to announce that this year, she upgraded to attending Drew Barrymore’s Private Halloween Party at her Hollywood Hills home. We’re told Brit was the best-behaved A-lister in attendance (despite her evil-looking outfit which consisted of a big witch hat, a black wig and black lace dress) and was about the only guest who refused to touch even a sip of booze.

According to our source, Spears seemed pretty shy and stayed in close proximity to her party-lovin’ William Morris agent Jason Trawick and cousin Laura Lynn Covington, whose mother (Brit’s Aunty) passed away just prior to all the crazy behavior last year. Other guests included Jason Bateman, Dustin Hoffman, Orlando Bloom, Leonardo DiCaprio (mind you, Leo apparently also told Heidi Klum’s peeps in New York that he’d make it to her bash) as well as Kate

Picture Update Nov 4 2008
Insider Claims Spears is Back with Paparazzo Ex Nov 3 2008
With a new album set for release next month and a hit single hovering near the top of the Billboard charts, Britney Spears’ professional comeback seems a given. But just as the 26-year-old’s career takes off again, her hard-earned personal comeback could be in jeopardy.

That concern comes on the heels of Spears' alleged renewed involvement with the man who was right by her side during her darkest days, the then-ever-present paparazzo, Adnan Ghalib.

“Britney and Adnan are constantly on the phone or text-messaging each other,” an insider revealed to the National Enquirer. “Britney gets excited when he calls or texts because he lavishes her with compliments.”

The source claims the couple’s interactions are currently limited to their cell phones, as they hope to keep the singer’s conservator-father, Jamie Spears, from finding out about their relationship. While dad may be in the dark, Britney Spears ex-husband, Kevin Federline, is said to be know the score.

“Kevin is clear about one thing,” the insider explained. “If Britney goes to Adnan, she will never get back custody of the kids, and she can forget about ever taking them traveling with her.”

I didn't want to post it when it was originally reported but decided to anyway. I, personally do not believe it, just look at the original source. That should tell you everything, lol.

Simon Cowell revealed to British tabloid The Daily Mail what he thinks about the Britney Spears comeback.

In September, Cowell confirmed to "Extra" Spears would perform on his hit UK TV show "The X Factor." The pop star will perform "Womanizer" on the show later this month. The "Womanizer" CD single is slated for a November 24 release in the UK.

Cowell is glad to see Britney back on her feet, saying, "She has come back from a very dark place and is a terrific artist."
